About Norwell, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Norwell is a town located in Massachusetts. It is situated in Plymouth County. According to U.S. Census Bureau records, Norwell was home to 10,500 residents in 2010. The town is situated along the northern bank of the North River which opens into the Atlantic Ocean.

Shipbuilding was a major industry in Norwell throughout the 1700s and part of the 1800s. In 1849, part of Scituate, now known as Norwell, was sectioned off and incorporated as South Scituate. The town was again incorporated in 1888 as Norwell. It was named in honor of Henry Norwell, a merchant and resident of the town who financially supported the construction of the public roads in the town.

Although Norwell began as a typical 18th-century shipbuilding town, it has progressed as an upper-middle-class community with wonderful amenities and convenient access to major Massachusetts cities. In addition to its convenient geographical location and high level of public services, Norwell is home to a highly ranked school system, one more reason it is an attractive place to live for professional families. Norwell is also home to several outdoor opportunities. Recreational areas in the town include the Valley Swamp and Stetson Meadows Conservation Land, the Albert F. Norris Reservation, and the Black Pond Natural Preserve.

Individuals relocating to Norwell will find it necessary to hire professional technicians to install heating and cooling systems in their homes. Temperatures throughout the winter season vary in the upper-30s during the day and will dip well below freezing at night. An efficient heating system will help keep residences protected against potential damages caused by poor heating. Also, residents should hire technicians to install central air conditioning units in their homes. Temperatures can rise up to the 90s during the months of June, July, and August and humidity levels are often high. Central air conditioning units will keep residents cool and comfortable indoors.
